TAREI is a professional association of inspectors that want to do business in the most professional manner possible.
This association has standards that are the Benchmark for inspectors all over the US.
Texas was the first state to adopt standards and professional ethics for home inspectors.
TAREI is located in Austin and is a statewide association with educational classes that are available to members and non-members several times a year.
Continuing education is not only a requirement by the state of Texas but is also very important to the inspectors so they are as up to date as possible on all the new changes in laws as well as construction practices.
Things are changing all the time in construction. New standards are being adopted for Enegery Efficiency and other safety concerns on a yearly basis. Homes now have newer types of insulation and minimum standards for insulation, Low E energy efficient windows and more efficient A/C units that also have new refrigerants that are enviornmentally friendly.
That is why it is so important to be involved with an association that helps to set the standards for quality. TAREI has now merged with INTER NACHI to combine the best of the professional standards and educational access materials across the United States.
NACHI means National Association of Certified Home Inspectors.
