Buying a house can be a stressful time for many people, especially if they have never bought a home before. So this is the best time to have a Home Inspector that is willing to take lots of time and teach the New Home Buyer about their home.
It’s time for the buyer to learn how to do some of the small things around the house. Most things are pretty easy for most people to do, like caulking around some of the gaps in the siding or around windows to help keep water from damaging the wood trim. Check the gutters around the house to make sure that water is draining properly around the house and the water is not settling next to the foundation.
Other things to check for is water drips under the sinks and around the water heater. Check around the toilets for water drips and faucets that drip and waste water.
Taking care of your a/c unit is also very important. The inspector can show you how to change your return air filters adding bleach or vinegar into the a/c drain pipe. This is important to make sure everything is working well and the air stays as clean as possible.
Our job is to now only inspect the house but also teach you about your house so you are as comfortable as possible with this big decision to buy a home.
